07 Sep The Future of the LA River
Last year, a group of third grade students had an opportunity to design proposals for the future of our L.A River. The project was a result of a collaboration that included LFCSA parent Sonny Calderon, LFCSA teacher Fidel Velasco, and Arts Specialist Evelyn Serrano, and several artists and partner organizations such as Arts for LA, KCET, F.O.L.A.R. who shared their time and expertise with our budding city planners.
After a 10-week design thinking process cycle that included research, brainstorming, feedback sessions, and prototyping, our students presented their proposals at City Hall. This video documents our reflection on the process.
Thank you Sonny Calderon and your students at the New York Film Academy for creating this video.
