Keeping the Lights (and Minds) On
In addition, to our extremely important Capital Campaign, we also conduct The Annual Give. Because LFCSA is a charter school, we receive only a portion of the state funding that traditional public schools do. The families who have committed to being a part of our school, understand this fact and make yearly pledges, contributing what they can to help close the many gaps in public funding. The money that is raised from this annual effort goes toward the essentials for our school: learning materials, staff and faculty salaries, and yes, even the light bill. LFCSA ANNUAL GIVE: 2009-2010
Here we are embarking on another amazing year. Our fourth to be exact! We are all so fortunate to be able to have our children attend such an incredible school where the integration of the arts is evident in every classroom.
In order to maintain this high standard of learning we have a voluntary fundraising drive every year in order to meet our budget needs. Traditionally this was called “the pledge drive”… Now we are calling it THE ANNUAL GIVE.
Our Charter states that we must voluntarily fundraise roughly 7% of our General Operating Budget. The Annual Give raises nearly half of those fundraising dollars.
This year we are giving families an easy out of sight out of mind option to donate. Let’s compare it to being a KCRW angel….
For less than$2/day or $40 a month per child you can help keep our doors open!
That is just $400 a year per student!
This money not only helps pay for our teachers and staff, keeps the lights on and the rent paid, but equally as important, sustains our amazing arts and P.E. programs. Something almost all public schools have lost due to budget cuts.
Your voluntary financial involvement is crucial to the longevity of our school.
Put your Annual Give on your credit card and we will deduct whatever amount you feel you can do… 5 cents per day or $5 per day. Can you give up that daily trip to starbucks for your child’s education? It’s as simple as that!
